the lamps are made of stainless steel, a material that doesn't rust, and is easy to clean.
you have the option to replace the metal shades with textile fabric, a feature leading to tranquility, that difuses light in a warm and natural manner.

the concept behind each oblong object is found in the meaning of the word itself. in ancient greek, oblong means rectangle. returning to simplicity, to a basic shape and exploring it's versatility.
after winning a global design competition with the first oblong multifunctional textile piece in 2013, Anca Para is developing the project since 2023 into 3d furniture and lighting objects that stand at the border of art and function.
oblong designs are collectible design pieces that are both sculptural and functional.
